Ehh in my opinion Bacardi is pretty alright for a standard rum. I can see where you’re coming form with the “trendy” aspect of Kraken as the label art really appeals to that kind of audience (though in all fairness the packaging IS really nicely designed). As a black spiced rum, I love Kraken. I think it is kind of unfair to compair it to Bacardi (unless you’re talking about their Oakheart brand) as Bacardi is a lighter tasting rum with completely different characteristics than that of a black spiced rum (same goes for cruzan). I think that as a black spiced rum this stuff is damn tasty ESPECIALLY when compared to Captain Morgan’s black rum which is wayyyyy too harsh.
